Sign Marcus Thomas for competition. Let the players duke it out in camp. If we see the DT problem is real, work out a trade for a guy on a team with depth at the position. Done and done.

Year 1 was literally like Rivera said. We let Fua and McClain go out there and be the little brothers who play with the "big kids". They got the poo kicked out of them. That was the plan. We needed to toughen them up and learn a bit on the job so they would be that much better next year.

Year 2 is going to be about getting these guys to learn technique, get stronger, and be motivated to not get kicked around anymore.

Believe it or not, any DT we could have drafted this year (other than MAYBE 1 or two guys) would have played a rotational role BEHIND the guys we already have. Why? Experience and technique is EVERYTHING when playing DT at this level.

Have Fua gain 200 pounds. A 500 pound Fua means no DT problem.
