9-7 At Worst

Saints are still the better team. Their offense will shred the Panthers D.

Actually it took a last second TD the first time to beat us. The second time we were putting guys off the practice squad as starters and largely packed it in. Trust me the Panthers remember the way they poured it on and we have them circled on the calender week 2. There won't be any butt kicking this year, I promise you that. if we didn't like them before,it is double that now.

BS The Giants are more than beatable in the regular season.

Exactly.

People keep forgetting they limped into the playoffs last year and the division wasn't decided until week 17. If it weren't for Eli's 4th quarter comebacks they wouldn't have won 7. Washington beat them twice.

Like the other poster mentioned. Brees will shred our D apart. Getting back Edwards and Beason will do little in regards to stopping the Saints passing attack.

We will also have a good offense, but the thing is I expect us on O to falter / have a lapse before Brees and company do.

Until proven other wise, we got to greatly improve our pass rush and secondary before I put us ahead of the Saints.

Oh ye of little faith. Each year is a totally different team. Without Peyton calling the signals they won't be scoring 30 a game, we don't need much of an edge to be able to play neck and neck. Their defense won't be as good either.

I seem to remembe the Giants having injury problems during the regular season, and then got healthy just in time for the playoffs. That Giants team in the playoffs would have beaten the red off that crappy Redskins team.

Go back and look at Rivera's defenses in their second year and tell me what you see?? A top defense or a piss poor one?? Goes to Chicago in 2004 and in 2005 they were ranked second. Goes to San Diego as linebackers coach and promoted to DC at the end of 2008 where they finished 25th, he changed the scheme and in 2009 they were ranked 16th and in 2010 they were 1st. So if we turn it around that way we should be top 10 if things hold form.

As it looks now i think the Panthers lose twice to the Saints, twice to the Falcons and spit with the Bucs.

But things could change. Carolina could trade for Osi Umenyoira or add a decent starter at cornerback after the June cuts.

Up until the 2010 season when all hell broke lose we owned the conference for the most part. Atlanta was the hardest team to beat but we won more than we lost. In 2009 we went 4-2. In 2008 we went 4-2, in 2007 with Carr and Moore we went 3-3. It is time to reclaim the division and be the Panthers of old. It is our time beginning this year.

Falcons are much more beatable than the Saints just due to them playing more conventional ie more run game / less of an aerial attack.

We should be able to stuff their run game with getting Edwards and Beason back in addition to Kuechly.

Brees and company going 4-5 wide every down and shredding our secondary is gonna be very hard to stop. TE Grahm (sp?) is a freak!
