more recent people like Tina Fey and Kristen Wiig are underrated imo as far as writing talents (and acting) goes. Tina Fey might be the best female.

Z is right, from what I've seen everyone pretty much looks at SNL through the lens of their college years... that was when the show was best to me... '91-'95. I haven't even watched it much since then... just clips here and there, and there's some great stuff... Cowbell, Nick Burns, Samberg's digital shorts, but it's not as good as it was to me when I was much younger.

The cast right now doesn't even touch the 90s cast. Then throw in the classic cast, but I still think the 90s class is underrated compared to the oldies because the older crowd watched the originals so closely.
