I always wondered if tackle machine Dan Morgan had so many concussions because of the way he played. So I wonder if Kuechly could fall victim to the same thing.

From what I was told was the concussions have to do with your body. Some people concuss easer than other. Morgan was just injury prone. He was always banged up and it prob just had to do with his body more than anything cause Ray Lewis is still using himself as a human sledgehammer with no ill effects.

This.

Steve Smith gets fuging drilled sometimes but he's never been concussed to my knowledge.

That's like saying every boxer has suffered a concussion. Both are not true.

Just because you don't feel the affects of it off bat doesn't mean your head hasn't been rattled. Are you telling me Smith's head wasn't affected at all by those Meriweather shots he took in the Chicago game?

Look at Chris Benoit. Never had a history of concussions. Yet when he died, his head was that of an 80 year old with alzheimers. Of all the football players they've gotten the opportunity to study yet with the advancement in technology, even guys without a history of concussions were found to have CTE. Maybe not all player. But nearly most have suffered some sort of concussion, whether it be minor or major.

Wish him all the best. Hope he quits before he suffers long term every day impairment.

My thoughts exactly. He's to the point where he is really risking long term damage. I love the drive but I hope he isn't pushing his body too far.

I hope he's able to come back and play at a high level. It's obvious that the team isn't banking on it and I'm not either. Anything he is able to do from here on out is incredible and a bonus. Whether he ever gets back to playing full time or not he's a beast in my book for making it this far.

Saying Benoit never had a concussion then saying a test was done that showed massive damage to his brain is a contradictory in its self. Just because it was not reported does not mean he didn't suffer concussions. Also grouping all athletes into one category is just plan wrong. Concussions are about body make up plane and simple. Some people are at greater risk then others and some people dont experience them at all. Saying those people have had concussions without proof is just asinine.
