TO move up to the beginning of the second he would have likely offered our first in 2011....just like he'd done for Everette Brown

except that he said that he wasn't willing to trade our first in 2011 and that is why he couldn't move up... meh.

Hurney does like to trade draft picks, but at least he's stopped trading firsts.

EB was a very different situation - hurney knew we'd be picking early in the first in 2011 so he wasn't going to let that pick go.

If he was upset all night (even after the 3rd round), then that means the player he wanted was taken. Otherwise he would have had hope to trading up in the 4th round to get his player, and he would not have been pissed off all night.

He could have coveted TY Hilton or TJ Graham more than Joe Adams..

He could have liked Jake Bequette DE-Arkansas, or Olivier Vernon. Jamell Fleming would have fit our system perfectly, and lastly Russell Wilson the QB from Wisconsin. I think we were targetting him to backup Cam.

I'm fine losing a 3rd next year...wouldn't have been ok with losing anything higher. Whether it was Hurney being held in check from being a moron or actually abstaining from trading away future 1st round picks the right thing ended up happening.
