Carolina Panthers’ Picking Joe Adams Makes Armanti Edwards Obsolete

It's sad for Armanti, frankly.

He was drafted as a developmental player to a coach who wanted nothing to do with him.

I hope he ends up somewhere that develops him. I still think he has a place in the NFL.

If it wasn't all Jimmy's fault....it was 80% his fault.

Same with Gabbert.

They aren't NFL starters.

I'll give you 50% because John Fox really started to not give a crap. Jimmy Clausen now is better than Jimmy Clausen then simply due to the fact that he's not a rookie. Jimmy can be a #2 QB and maybe push for #1 in the future somewhere else.

armani was drafted for his athletisim not as a qb or wr. they thought he would fit best at wr.

the first year and second year the panthers maybe threw to him combined of 10 times

not counting pre-season. i agree with everyone here armani should never be thought

about as a returner again!!!

but here's where i believe he will play: Scatback... he ran for over 4400 yards at App.

St.... He's learned how to run routes at wr even though he's never caught one during the regular

season... he can run a wildcat package. We could have our own modern day slash

RB/WR/Wildcat.

So you want to go ahead and cut Fua, Armanti, McClain, and probably numerous others before they even go to camp and fight for their jobs? Not only would you be crippling the depth of this team, you would cripple the competitive edge that's necessary in camp and the preseason.

Not only that but your opinion about any of these guys, no matter how skewed, doesn't matter. You don't think they are NFL talent, well Hurney and Rivera do. They want those guys here to compete. Even if they don't make the team, the hunger of a player with his back against the wall shouldn't be undermined when faced with competition. It makes the team better having them here right now. Hell sometimes things just click for a player after a few seasons. Happens all the time.

I dont think I mentioned Fua or McClain. I am talking about Armanti. (i think Fua wont sniff the field this year)

My opinion..whether you care for it or not...is that Armanti is not an NFL caliber WR. And you're damn right they want guys here to compete...thats why they brought in about 5 more WR's...because obviously they are looking for guys who can actually play the position.

Call it like I see it. You must see a different player than me in Armanti

Armanti deal was terrible. Why take a guy and ask him to do in the NFL what he has never done? Armanti will be gone after training camp probally. I was hoping he would do well but don't think it is going to work out.

Brandon Smith, Wallace Wright, Jamoriss Warren,Trent Guy, Charlie Martin, Darvin Adams.... those names ring a bell???

They were all brought in last year and Armanti is still here .Just because we are signing other wr's isnt really saying much.

hmmm...lets break it down

This is why Armanti is still here >>>> 3rd round pick...traded 2nd round pick to get him. Theres more invested in him than this list of practice players. Do you not know how pro sports work man?

Yeah that would make sense if they kept him on the team and he didn't play, but he played every game last year.

When was the last time a college qb drafted to become an nfl receiver , failed then became a backup qb? got a zinger for that one? Doubt it..

WVU's old QB Pat White was drafted to be a WR by the Dolphins, couldn't cut it and was used as the wildcat QB for a season and a half behind Henne... where he had just as much success as he did as a WR and was then cut.

So, there's your zinger... but I think I only reinforced your point that Armanti probably doesn't have a role in the NFL.

Lots of people on here are hanging on to the Armanti Project dream...they havent seen the light yet. I agree 100% with you
