Which Saturday Draft Choice Has The Best Chance To Get Playing Time This Season?

Great post! I edited it down for size, but very good points.

Regarding Pilares, I disagree. He didn't catch 1 pass last year, why do you say he is polished? I think if we are missing someone who may be in the slot, other than Adams, it would be Seyi Ajirotutu (not saying he will, just if it isn't Adams). I think Adams can make an immediate impact in the slot d/t his return-type after the catch skills, but we will see how TC goes. Even tho they both produced in college (Pilares a little more his last season), Adams was in a pro-style offense. Both of us are correct right now b/c it is all just theory until TC to the season.

Thanks!

And I'm not basing on anything other that the fact that Pilares will going into his second year and Adams will be a rookie, and I think the complicated nature of the offense gives incumbents an even greater advantage than normal. I haven't heard anything about Seyi Ajirotutu except when we signed him.

Right now we've got. 1. Smith, 2. LaFell, 3. Gettis and a whole ton of question marks, and even Gettis is uncertain coming back from his injury. It'll be interesting to see who emerges through training camp and the preseason.

Ajirotutu is no longer on the team according to the roster at Panthers.com.

Yeah, it will be fun to see how things shakeout. Smith, LaFell, Gettis, Pilares & Adams will make the final roster, so it really depends on how many WRs they will use roster spots; I can't see more that 6 at the very most. Tutu had 1 reception last year, so he got on the field + had system familiarity from San Diego, that's why I mentioned him. I would like to see Manno, Pilares or 1 of the UDFAs come in & really make a splash. Your reasoning is sound with Pilares; it will be a fun year b/c there will be real competition.

I just went there, he is there. I also checked transactions & they indicate no release for him.

I am not a fan of his, but I'm sure Rivera will give him a chance to compete for a spot, even if he doesn't make the final roster.

Funny he's not listed on the roster that I'm looking at but its from the Panthers.com iPhone app.

Adams will get a lot of special team work but while we have #89 he will get all the WR run plays on offense.

Alexander will be a rotation guy like CJ and Hardy had to do before they became starters.

Norman will be battling for the 3rd or 4th CB spot this year.

I know CRA is down on Hardy but you need to deal with the Fact that he will be our starter now and for the foreseeable future. No way in hell did Keiser play better or deserve more time then Hardy and expect a break out season.
