Predict Our Depth Chart

Hogan/Munnerlynn/Butler are going to battle for a starting position. To me, it seems that it's pretty evident who will win the job, considering that Hogan was starting at the end of the season and seemed to pass Munny on the depth chart. Munnerlynn is a great nickelback. RR said that Norman is a project player, so I don't see how we could say otherwise. I don't think they are going to just give Hogan the starting job.. I think he will earn it.

The will treat it the same way they did with Cam last year. We all knew he was going to start, but RR didn't just give Cam the job. I think Hogan will win the job just like Cam did last year.

When did Hogan start ahead of Munnerlyn? I do not recall this. Again look at Hogan's competition if you don't think Norman will compete...Munnerlyn and Butler...wow those are really starting caliber players right there. I think if Norman really is just a dime and nickel back, why draft him? We already have 4 of those guys, why did we draft a 5th (don't forget Stanford)?

I just remember Hogan playing outside and pushing Munny to nickleback near the end of last season, he may not have gotten an official start. The reason they drafted Norman is because he has potential to be a starter down the road. For some reason, you think they drafted him to be a starter Day 1, when that simply is not the case with 5th round draft picks. Munny/Butler are experienced veteran players, and will easily beat Norman out on the depth chart. Easily. This is not even up for debate. Does Norman have the potential to be better than those guys? Absolutely. He has the physical size and ability to do that someday. It's not going to be this year..

LS: J.J. Jansen

NOTES:

- We only keep 2 HB's due to Tolbert being able to play both FB and HB

- Thomas Davis doesn't make it through final cuts due to injury issues/effects of injuries

- Jeremy Shockey is re-signed between now and camp

- Jason Williams, Haruki Nakamura, Kenny Onatolu, & D.J. Campbell make it based on special teams play

- With all the new faces at safety, Jordan Pugh doesn't make the cut

- Jason Shirley is the odd man out at DT. No way we keep 6 DT's and Fua/McClain are essentially guaranteed to make it. Nebblet & Kearse make it over Shirley.

So basically we're still fuged at CB in a division with really good and big WRs. Excellent.

Basically, unless Hogan has drastically improved his game over the offseason.

Munny is limited with his size, and Butler has been in the league for a while, so I think his potential is fairly topped out. So I don't expect those guys to have much more upside to their respective games. So, Hogan is the guy that I expect to come in and show off his skills and take that CB2 position by the reins. If he doesn't, then yes, we are not looking much better than last year.

I think Norman will be competing with Hogan for the starting job in his 2nd year.. unless he is just an anomoly of a draft pick, like a Marques Colston in the 7th round.. but I am trying to stay realistic.

he might be that good. the best man will be on the field, no matter were he was drafted. I think the Seahawks started a udfa last year.

He might be. But it's not probable. I hope every player we draft is a steal in their respective round, but I just try to stay realistic about these things. Most late draft picks don't contribute at all their rookie seasons, except for special teams, let alone start on the defense.
