I Love This Draft

Am I the only one that really hopes Burfict goes undrafted and we bring him in just poo and giggles to see if he can do anything?

Yes. I want no part of this kid. He's entitled, overweight, slow, lazy, and undisciplined both on the field and off. I think every team should agree not to take this kid to see if he would go back to school for another year, try to clean up his act and EARN a chance next year. He doesn't deserve a chance this year.

Fair enough. With Rivera being a former LB, I'd like to think that IF he brings him in, he would know how to evaluate him just as well as any LB coach.

That being said, the fact we didn't take him in rd 7 speaks volumes.

1 Luke Kuechly, LB

2 Amini Silatolu, G

3 Greg Olsen, TE

4 Frank Alexander, DE

4 Joe Adams, WR

5 Josh Norman, DB

6 Brad Nortman, P

7 D.J. Campbell, DB

Guys it doesnt matter what spot you get a player as long as you know he will contribute. This may be the best draft carolina has had in quite some time. if Amini Silatolu is anything like he is on tape, ur looking at some huge run yardage. Joe Adams could end up being the diamond in the rough of this draft. The guy is explosive and knows how to avoid a tackle. Go panthers!

Wish we could give pie again. It's sad that 50% of fans still don't understand.

This draft will go down in history with the Jenkins, Smith draft and the Beason, Kalil draft.

I agree it was a great draft and it will be surprising if the top 6 guys do not make solid contributions this year.

Filling the need at punter was smart. I would like to see us go ahead and rectify the kicker situation as well. Cut Mare now when we have the space to absorb the cap hit, and find someone younger/cheaper (if the guy from the CFL doesn't work out). We are a different team now and touchdowns are not as rare as they were in the Fox era. This makes a top-notch kicker a bit less important, so I would prefer we spend those dollars elsewhere.

It is really going to be fun watching these new guys as the year goes along.

You are making sense to me. Everyone wants to trash MH for not drafting DT. We were never going to draft DT. I think, by next year, we could have Kuechly, Silatolu, and Norman as starters. The first two will be pro bowlers very soon. Adams and Alexander will contribute in rotations, we will also have a punter from this draft. Heck, Gil Brandt said we got a steal with DJ Campbell, the seventh round S. He is smart and a great special teamer.

People want to cry about the DT situation. FEW DTs do well as rookies. The reason everyone is screaming for a DT? We had 3 rookies starting last year! They will improve from year 1 to year 2. Throwing another DT at the situation gives us another rookie DT that will suck.

Great draft--possibly the best ever. I give RR the credit.
