Playing Devils advocate here but the trade could be about more then wanting to get Alexander. Yes Alexander is a guy they seem to be extremely high on, but this trade could be more about Joe Adams. What if the F.O. had knowledge that SF was talking to teams wanting to move up to get Adams. Hurney jumps at the guy who they covet and says, SF "I'll give you our third next year to sweeten the deal". SF hangs up with the other teams and the deal is done. Not necessarily what happened, but the F.O. coveted Adams so it wouldn't surprise me at all...

When will people understand that media projections mean very little. Especially in rounds 4-7. The truth is that where draftniks think a guy should go often times varies wildly with even the majority if NFL GMs.

Hurney probably got wind that someone was going to draft him and wanted to move up to get him. Much like the Browns did with Minnesota on Thursday. There was no way they give up that much to move one spot unless they knew something was going down.

Just watch the draft and have fun. Quit bitching constantly
