To Many Needs And Not Enough Picks

With the practice squad defense we fielded at the end of last year I don't understand how anyone doesn't think our defense will be greatly improved, with Davis and Beason we are adding two pro-bowl caliber players, with Kuelchy we add anther future pro-bowl caliber guy, not to mention adding a more than serviceable DT, and a couple safety's that can but Martin on the bench.

People here do not seem to understand to win we do not need a top 5 perfect defense, we just need a top 15 unit that will not hemorrhage points.

The Falcons are in a win now mode because they have a team full of aging players and they are willing to sacrifice the future to get there. And because Matt Ryan is not elite and can not win w/o a good supporting cast. Hasn't won anything meaningful with one.

It rarely works, but every team without an elite QB tries it. The Panthers did it during the Delhomme era post 2005 to try to get back over the hump.

It never worked on and the FO finally had to admit failure after 2009. 2010 was a disaster for many reasons, but the Panthers had to rebuild for the long term interest of the team.

Big picture wise the Panthers are in great shape, and even as it is they should compete for a playoff spot this year. If they don't, I will be disappointed but not distraught.

The Panthers have made 2 great moves in this draft and haven't sacrificed the future. They have added some pieces in free agency.

My only concern is getting another pass rush threat, but that will have to be addressed in FA.

So we draft two players who are going to start, but already judging these last 4? C'mon man.

Again the guard might not start.

Silatolu is a guy with huge upside, but he likely will need a little time to develop.
