Dream Day 3

Streeter and Gettis are not the same player. One has average WR height, while the other one has elite WR height.

One is a redzone nightmare while the other is not.

You're making generalizations when you have no facts to support that point. I like Streeter (a lot actually, he was right after Hill on my list of big WR's), but you have nothing to support the idea that Gettis can't be a red zone nightmare. One of the best red zone targets in the game (Andre Johnson) has almost identical size to Gettis...

Gettis is Andre Johnson now??!?!?

Gettis isnt and hasnt been referred to as a redzone nightmare. He is a vertical threat WR. Nothing more, nothing less right now.

Streeter had many redzone td's where they just threw the ball up for him. At 6'5 he is a huge match up problem for cb's.

When did I ever say Gettis was Andre Johnson? I said they have very similar measureables, and they do. Being that the average CB is around 5'11 to 6', Gettis is still a pretty big match up problem for most NFL CB's. The only reason we didn't see Gettis used in the red zone more was because of our QB play in his rookie year....

No we didn't throw the ball much in the red zone because Clausen sucked so bad....

That is, when we were in the red zone...

When did throwing a quick jump ball become so hard?

Lame excuse dude.

Gettis is just not a jump ball redzone threat. He is a vertical threat WR due to his speed.

 You say it's a lame excuse but it's exactly what happened. So what's your explanation....

That isnt what happened.

What happened was Gettis wasnt used / targeted as a redzone threat because..... big surprise.... he isnt a jump ball redzone threat.

Atleast not right now in his career.
