For me anyway.

4th Round: PR/WR Joe Adams 5'11 180

Sure up the return game. Also provides for a nice slot / scat back.

5th Round: WR Tommy Streeter 6'5 220

I will be shocked if Streeter doesnt go in the 4th round. Would almost prefer to take him in the 4th and get a slot / pr in the 5th as there should def be some speedsters available.

6th Round: CB Coty Sensabough 5'11 190

About the best we can do this late in regards to CB. Isnt a bad player and could easily be our #2 if Hogan doesnt play like his 2nd round grade.

6th Round: DE Josue Ortiz 6'5 253

With some proper coaching and some added weight I could see this guy becoming a nice player.

7th Round: DT Chigbo Anunoby 6'4 324

Well, you want a sleeper? Here it is, found this gem from Morehouse College. Great size and pretty athletic. I could see this guy doing really nice things with some coaching and experience.

Not crazy about two WR's back to back. I like them both, but I'd only take one in the 5th. We should go defense in the 4th. My "dream" day 3:

4th: Ronnell Lewis, DE/OLB, Oklahoma

Some would prefer a DT here and I do like both Josh Chapman and Jaye Howard, but odds are one of them will be available in the 5th based on the way things are falling. Lewis is a 2nd/3rd round talent who could very well be gone before we pick here, but if he does slip he's a no-brainer pick. We need to address the pass rush and he can play both DE in 4-3 looks and OLB in 3-4 looks. He can make an impact as a situational pass rusher as a rookie if we get him.

5th: Josh Chapman, DT, Alabama

If it weren't for injury concerns he'd be long gone. Talent-wise he's close to a 1st round prospect. At this point the injury concerns are worth risking to get a potential steal at DT. It's possible he's gone, but I have a sense his injury concerns will push him into the 5th. This could be a great investment; a pick that could wind up being a big time steal.

6th: Devon Wylie, WR, Fresno State

As a potential sleeper pick at WR, I love this guy. Reminds me of Smitty; small, but plays bigger than he is and could be a great player to groom behind Smith.

6th: Brian Stahovich, P, San Diego State

We have to add a punter at some point. Anger went in the 3rd, so Drew Butler could be gone by now. If so, I like Brian Stahovich. He's right there with Butler, IMO.

7th: Brandon Hardin, CB/FS, Oregon State

In this scenario we obviously won't get a corner who will likely play a lot as a rookie so we better hope Hogan steps it up. That said, Hardin can play corner or safety and we could use depth and competition at both. He'd be a good late flyer pick if he lasts this long.

I'd rather just get Streeter in the fourth. I'm tired of getting small WR/KR where they're only kinda good at wide receiver, but they make up for it by not being completely awful as a KR. We've failed on so many KR/PRs it's getting annoying already. It's become a tradition to get a LB in the first and fail at getting a KR/PR in the later rounds.

We haven't failed at drafting PR/KR. We've failed at drafting QBs or slow WRs and trying to make them PRs because we had no other options. We haven't drafted a pure PR since Smitty. I guess Ryne Robinson, but he got injured before he could ever play.

I likes Chapman. Want him and streeter.

4th: Minnifield: Great Zone CB I thought would go in the 2nd.

5th: Devon Wylie: Playmaker at KR/WR/ST. Crazy COD skils. Whats not to love about that.

6th: Andrew Datko: Otah insurance.

Comp Pick: Darron Thomas: Poor Mans Cam

7th: Vontaze Burfict: Has Beast potential and its a 7th round pick.

Since we missed out on Russell Wilson, I really hope that we take QB Darron Thomas in the 6th or 7th. He is exactly what we need as a back up QB to Cam. 6'3 215 and similar to Cam.

I hope we don't take a QB in this years draft, maybe an UDFA, but we need WR & D. In these late rounds it's not a bad thing to get more than 1 in the same position b/c it's really a craps shoot here (beginning in the 5th). Thomas is a very good player, but I am more concerned about our D right now than before the draft started.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
