everybody says the OG had a 1st round grade, but so did Worthy and Curry.and maybe Still. im not mad at the Kuechly pick but Amini pick got me ????????????????

and why must you agree with everything the GM does? and when you dont agree the fav reponse is you are not the profession. Ray Charles can see were this team struggled on sundays.

Worthy and Still were def 1st round grades. Still at one point was considered the number 1 DT.

Curry was 2nd round grade simply due to not playing in a big conference and being 1 inch to short and 7 pounds light. Certainly wasnt due to his play.

So you are basically saying that the Panthers D-line would be average for a D-1 college team? I think you are being a bit too dramatic here.

Yea, he said that all three of those players were upgrades to what we had after I said that none of the three would've started this upcoming season for Carolina anyway. Anyone who knows me, knows that I don't like Hardy and want a replacement for him, so he can go to being a third down pass rusher only. There weren't a bunch or good 4-3 DE/DT prospects in this draft. Cox is more of a 5 tech or a DE/DT hybrid and I'm not sure he'd been successful here in Carolina's scheme. Coples is either a 5 tech or a DT and once again I'm not sure he'd been successful here in Carolina's scheme at DT.

There was a big drop off after those two guys at 4-3 DE, most of the other prospects were tweener types or 3-4 OLB's.

CB there was 2 players that could've made the grade at 9 and those two were Gilmore and Claiborne.....

The second round of the draft didn't really have a ton of Value at DT, DE or CB. There wasn't any one there that would've came in and started over McClain, Edwards or Hogan.

Mayock had Curry and Worthy with first round grades, but had Silatolu rated higher then Still.

that was my point i know most niks had Worthy and Curry with a 1st round grade, but Marty felt that OG was the bpa at the time. i do not agree with that, but hey who am I.

Kuechly will improve our pass coverage, particularly against Tight Ends. So we did address indirectly pass coverage and improved there on paper anyway. Hopefully Hogan is a starter this year and improvement.

I wanted a stud DE, while the guard looks like he could be awesome eventually he'd be more effective in the run game and I thought we were turning into a passing team.

The Armanti trade is what haunts us, not having pick #33 last yr
