Question for those that assume Kuechly will be great because of Hurney's perfect 1st round track record: Do you also assume that Silatolu will be mediocre at best because of Hurney's 8/9 track record there with getting mediocre-to-bust players in the 2nd round?

The problem is, both of these players aren't considered good or bad because of Hurney's draft record. But because some of you (who are entitled to your opinion) don't agree with who we selected, we should disregard those around the league who have said that both are really good players.

Not to mention that both guys should contribute right away. Its not about being a homer, I don't give two shits about that. If the guys are good players, they are good players...and until I see otherwise, I'm sticking with them.

My only point is to point out the hypocrisy of those that are excited about Kuechly solely because "omg guys hurney never misses in the first round!!!!!!!" and are also excited for Amini for no real reason other than that they get excited for everything. If you use Hurney's track record in the first round to prop up Kuechly, you also have to use his terrible record in the second to be very skeptical of Amini. There's no way around that.

What is the point of going on his track record? I'm going by the player, and their reputation around the league. Thats the whole point of having the guys that have studied these players go on TV and talk about them. And with BOTH guys, there was a consensus that both are really good. I don't see the point in saying that Hurney's success or failure has anything to do with how a guy will turn out.

IF they bust ok...there you go. We go from there, but I won't make a leap to say a guy won't turn out if all I have to base it on his Hurney's track record.
