We Have No Pass-Rush Or Secondary

They drafted a need, yes but they didn't draft based on need. If that was the case the pick would have been Dareus.

Drafting BPA doesn't mean you draft a position you are set at just because the player is BPA. And on this team there are only three positions that are set (QB, RB and C). After that there are a lot of areas that could use help.

how is that? our #1 need was QB

most ppl thought Cam was NOT BPA

For all you guys complaining There was no DT or CB at 40 that is any better than what we currently have at the positions, I'd MUCH rather have a guy who will be a mauler and protect CAM for the next 10 years rather than a rotational player that may or may not be worh a darn, If Jenkins was there he would have been the guy but he wasn't and no other Corner is better than Captain and Butler. Worthy and Still are decent tackles but McClain is better than both and you guys gave him a hard tme last year so whats the point taking one of those 2.

I greatly disagree,You mean to tell me brockers, cox, and poe are no better than fua and mcclain? I would give you credit if you can name 4 plays each where they even flashed ability. I understand Dts take a while to develope but if you are a nfl caliber starter,I exspect you to atleast flash. Give the team areason to believe in you. Hogan gets a pass due to injury but beyond him and cam its hard to put much faith in anyone else in last years class sir.

A 2nd year Fua or McClain will most likely be better than a rookie Poe. Easily. Probably overall on par with Brockers or Cox. Those guys only played good football in spurts in the SEC.

And waste a freakin draft pick on an offensive player. WTF!

True. I mean, when you have Cam Newton and great RBs....who cares about protecting them and opening up holes. I am sure we got better when we cut Wharton, the average at best G will have will randomly get better, not worse....and Otah is a rock of stability. Bringing a flexible and talented G/RT was indeed silly

Our offense puts enough points to win. Our defense sucks.

Again, explain how losing an anchor of your OL for years in Wharton makes you not worse

Explain how average at best Gs like Hangartner aren't going to get steadily worse each year

How you going to put points up with no holes and opponents in the backfield

Hell, Gantt has the best info and take on Carolina and he had us drafting a G at 9.....it is a need

Just my opinion. And i appreciate yours. Just seems to me, the offense was playoff worthy last season. Other teams seamed to score at will against the D. My opinion was to fix the D. I rember when the Panthers had a defense that kept a sorry ass O in the game. I liked that. I just wonder what this team could do if they had a worthy d.
