Point is we are good until Fua and McClain become Probowlers. I don't how Hurney is going to resign all this talent with all the Probowlers he just drafted but he is a cap magician so we are good.

can you tell me what that has to do with Ron Rivera, who has went to 2 different locations and put together a #1 and #2 defense under 2 different schemes, and why he totally ignored the DT position?

Antonio Garay, and Tommie Harris says hi. And the Bears have had a good rotation of DT and DE for years including the Superbowl years, but do not feel like looking it up. If you aren't going to try then neither am I.

so what is your point? that you disagree with the same guy who put those teams together? lol

Yeah, I'm the one not trying here while you keep posting things that mean nothing in a sad attempt to sound relevant in this topic.. or that you can't prove any point because you don't have any information to make your baseless opinions off of, which is the very point MadHatter was making before..

you can form an opinion, but that opinion compared to guys getting paid to have access to that information via workouts/practice/game film isn't even close to your assumptions and TV production "game film", if you even know what you are looking at...

so nice try.. way to really dig in your heels and "not try" considering you have no valid point to make here other than you are butt hurt because you disagree with professionals about their evaluations.. lol

Point is.....you made it sound like they had Fua and McClain at DT Duh!

they do have Fua and McClain at DT... that is a fact.. yet you have yet to really say anything.. carry on, continue to spin your tires for all to see.. lol

They as in the Chargers and Bears. Go back to quoting good job one liners to CRA, he can actually respectfully and intelligently debate.

can you find one post where I've said good job to CRA? I'm here respectfully talking with you, giving you attention your parents neglected to provide you while you have yet to say one intelligent thing.. nice try?

I think you may be tip-toeing around the fact that the Bears and Chargers had good DT's. First time there was pronoun confusion. Second time you choose to focus on the CRA comment.

The "I need attention because my parents neglected me" angle is exactly why you are not being respectful." It is fine that you do that, but I don't want you to think you are something that you are not. I prefer the conversation steer to the facts and not personal shots, I may use sarcasm excessively, but I see it as a tool to make a point with, but you will not see me calling someone an idiot for having a different view point.

My point has been stated: you seem to think you know more than Rivera about the talent he has evaluated while using examples from teams he elevated to the top of the league.. (you see the irony right?)

You think Garay came into the league and lit it up his first year? Try 6 years down the road before he even compares to what Fua and McClain did through 13 games. LOL And guess when he was drafted... in the 6th round.

therefore, back to my point, at this juncture it is too early to tell what will become of Fua and McClain.. I thought I explained that already? Am I still tip-toeing around some point I haven't already stated?

The Chicago Bears ranked 22nd defense in 2003, Ron Rivera then became DC in 2004 they ranked 21 and then the following year roughly top 2...

Then he went to the San Diego Chargers and posted 25th in his 1st year as DC, 16nd his 2nd, and ranked 1st in his 3rd...

Also, Rivera acquired most of his DTs... which apparently you seem to think is the exact same situation here for the Panthers, despite the massive youth movement exercised the year before he came here... But let's compare the situations early in the beginning instead of where they ended up by judging Rivera in his 1st year developing this team...

so if you're going to raise any points you might want to try something other than random assumptions and apples/oranges comparisons. ;)

It doesnt matter if The Bears and Chargers DTs were 3rd string scrubs or all-pro Probowlers. The fact is that Rivera made those defenses, and coached both of them to #1 rankings.

Coach Rivera knows what he is doing. If he doesnt think that our DTs are good enough, he will fix it. He didnt do it in the draft because he either likes the squad we already have, or he plans to improve them in free agency. I think that he likes the squad we have right now, but it doesnt matter what you, bleys or I think, because Rivera knows more about the situation than any of us, and given his track record, I am inclined to trust him.

It does matter, because if he had 3rd string scrubs the defenses would have got run on like we did last year. Rivera does not have magic powers by standing on the sideline you have #1 defense. I'm not hating this draft, I'm hating the complete picture of how this team has been built over the last seven years. 3 LBers, 2 RB, trading away future picks is a waste of valuable resources that good teams manage correctly.

I know its early... but Firstroundpick seems to be an absolute bust.

As a first round pick, he is expected to contribute, but he is just getting blown away on every post.

Much like Clausen, he hasn't even shown any flashes.

How do I get better? Start agreeing to all of your opinions?
