Ya'll need to relax. This guy's huge and he's a beast. And he does help us out at a position that we're thin at. Maybe it's not as big a need as corner, but it still was a need. His potential is through the roof. He can come in and start from day 1 and help us get back to the power running game with Stew, D-Will, and Tolbert and protect our Franchise QB. Clearly our Front Office did some work before hand and this guy must have fit our plans more than Johnson, Worthy, Still, etc.

Was I hoping for DT, CB, or WR? Yes. Does that make this a bad pick? No.

There are reasons people are passing on these DTs.

There is a reason why a lot of people are passing on defensive linemen in general in this draft, there simply aren't many good ones. Upshaw was the last good one on the board.

We've got some talent at DT. We have very little at guard. Pollock on a 1 year deal. Hangartner is ok. It is/was a big need.

We are adding 2-3 starters to our defense who are coming back from injury.

I thought we would go CV...and nay e we would have taken Jenkins, who knows. But, you don't reach for a specific position. Hogan was a 2nd round grade last year. Guess they did not see Trumain, etc as an upgrade over him.

We released our starting guard and had the ability to replace him with a nasty guy. Solid puck.
