It's sad that some people think we are set at DT.

I think a lot of people that are going with positions other than DT in the draft are viewing it as there is a POSSIBILITY that the DT will significantly improve without the need to address it in the draft. With Edwards back and the rookies getting experience it is definitely possible. Could you draft a DT early and take it from a possibility to a definitive? Yes. But there are other positions where there is no possibility for improvement from last year outside of the draft/FA.

Perhaps Rivera and the FO think a position battle between Hardy and Keiser for one end is suitable. It seems like people forgot about him. Not saying he will be a star, but he's an option.

What makes me the most upset is luke isnt a bad player,but to grab insurance incase a player gets injuried in the top 10 is mind blowing. All of the other top 4-3 LBs are still on the board. Lavante David, Zac Brown, and Kindricks all could have been had for less and all are arguably just a good in pass coverage and could pressure the QB.

They didn't draft him for insurance? He was the #1 player on our board

For a rebuilding type team like we are it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to draft for need if it means passing over a franchise type.

Luke isn't insurance. Best case scenario for Davis being a situational LB. Luke is better than Anderson. He is a week 1 starter

It is sad that anyone thinks we are set at any position on defense. Again, you need at least 3 healthy LBr's to run a 4-3. We have one that is starter quality.

I think most people knew this until they need something to complain about and pretend that he is good for 16+ games this year. At best he is a back-up until proven otherwise.

I am not a huge fan of the pick because it f*cked Thomas Davis, and I don't think that's right..... I also think that Beason is our man in the middle. He is one of the best in the league, why fug up a good thing.... We had such a bigger need on the Dline, and that's why I agree with OP.

I think there's plenty of chance that he plays again.

Plays full time though? That's where I think the odds are pretty slim.
