I Do Not Hate Luke Keuchly

If Davis plays well and Beason is back to form, who will he start over? I highly doubt Anderson because he has been solid and reliable.

I don't think it matters how strong Davis comes back, he's the odd man out. Keuchly will start. Davis will play, but he's not going to start anymore.

Most of you cant.

In the SuperBowl their starters were

SLB

59 Michael Boley

MLB

53 Greg Jones

WLB

94 Mathias Kiwanuka

The Giants base their defense on a powerful Defensive Line generating pressure and freeing up their Linebackers (whom few can name) to make plays in the running game.

The Giants were 27th in defense last season.

Naming the LBers of a below average defense off the top of your head has nothing to do with anything. Plus if you don't know Kiwanuka and Boley you don't pay much attention .....which is fine

I wasn't in love with any pick (but Blackmon). I would love to pick Jenkins in the second (but doesn't look like that's going to happen). That being said, Kuechly was the BPA. He was the no-brainer. The safe pick. The most sure-fire thing on the board. If he is even 75 percent of what people think he is---Brian Urlacher, Keith Brooking, Brian Cushing, Jack Lambert, Ron Rivera---then he was just too good to pass up, especially in our situation. Davis is my boy---my fellow Bulldog---but you think I'd put my faith in his ability to come back and be the TD of old? Beason is a beast---plain and simple---but you can't even mortgage the future of our LB corps on him being able to come back 100 percent. Enter Kuechly...a potential capstone of our LB corps for years to come.

First round picks need to start asap. It's ok for other round picks to sit for a little while, but first rounders should start especially top 10.

so you'd rather have our first rounder start, than to have Thomas Davis play a full season? I see how it is.

The draft is in place so that teams can add talent in a balanced manner. You guys put way too much importance on the draft as if there is a direct correlation between draft success and Super Bowl Championships. We're simply here to add pieces to the puzzle, but you guys make it seem as if our results in the draft will be the ultimate decider in whether or not we get a championship this decade. There's a lot more factors in what constitutes a championship team besides who they drafted in the first round. Some people need to realize this instead of living and crying by who we draft.

great point... so let me ask you a similar question: if Edwards, McClain, Fua, Neblett, Kearse, Shirley, Hardy, and CJ play very well who will Cox and Coples start over?

now, are you going to put money down TD goes down early or one of our many options on the DL falls off enough for a rookie to start at positions that typically take time to step into from positions who aren't notoriously known to start right away due to technique, hands, and strength?

Cox would've started. Fua didn't show anything last season and Edwards is old so we had some options to choose who to sit on the bench. Hardy would be on the bench if we got a DE. Hardy declined last season. The only problem Davis has had is staying healthy. So if he's healthy, he should be a solid player on the field. If he was declining before injury, then he would definately be benched right now. So atm, its all a question mark. I just want to know that my first rounder is starting rather than thinking about that he MIGHT be starting some time this season depending on the health of another player.

I agree 100% and I'll say the people that don't understand why this wasn't the best pick are the ones that still don't understand why Stewart wasn't the right pick.

...and they'll come back months from now when Keuchly has 100+ tackles and we're sitting at 7-9 or 8-8 and tell you how wrong you were.

All I know is that I'm in deep prayer that the guards on the board ahead of us in the second are taken before we pick. Because I know, I absolutely know, that if they are still on the board Hurney will want to do something stupid.

If we use our first two picks on a coverage LB and OG then the fans should march on BOAS calling for Hurney's head.

And I don't mean contract termination.

And indications in both drafts thus far, trades and FA moves since Rivera arrived indicate Ron dictates what we do to a very strong degree......
