Why is it so hard for people to understand that we DO NOT run the same defensive schemes as the Giants? Al 4-3 defenses are not designed the same. Rivera led defenses have ALWAYS been built around stud lb corps.

so what you're saying is, he didn't have 4 first round linebackers on those defenses he built to be no.1 and had more talent elsewhere on the defense?

I am a big Chargers fan, and I'm not real sure where this superstar LB deal comes from.

Shaun Phillips was his number 1 LB, he was drafted in the 4th.

Merriman was a beast, but was a shell of himself when he was playing for RR. He was drafted in the 1st, but is a rush LB, not a 43 LB.

Was known for helping turn Trotter into a pro bowler......3rd rounder.

The biggest problem most of us have, is that we don't like the way Hurney is building this team, and his love affair with the RB and LB positions.

Most of feel that there are more important positions on the football field. Such as QB, WR, CB, T, DE, and DT. But Hurney for years has continued to draft LB's high, as well as RB's high. Two positions that history has shown do not have to be high draft picks to be successful.
