Kuechly won the Nagurski award as the nation's top defensive player. He plays much, much faster than Dan, as his recognition and reaction really set him apart.

I don't believe Connor and Kuechly should even be discussed in the same breath.

If you have a chance to add elite talent you do it. Especially if there are doubts about other players on the board.

I don't care what he is. He is slow, unathletic, awful in coverage, and completely worthless in our system.

If we still had John Fox, we would have probably held onto him. Rivera knows poo when he sees it.

The problem is you think Connor = Kuechly. There's really nothing I can do to help you.

If you can't see the difference, then you aren't trying.

Did everyone beating the Connor drum here watch him play last year? He wasn't garbage, but in no way did his play constitute what should be readily accepted as starter level LB play.

I was solely disappointed by Connor to be truthful. I really thought that even though I knew his coverage ability would not be on par with Beason, I thought the tackling would be there. And it just wasn't, not to the level it should have been given how bad he was in pass coverage.

Anderson was the only LB we had last year whose overall play was at a starter's level. And he is not an All-Pro, but he is a better LB in my opinion than some people think.

Connor was a 4th rounder for a reason. Kuechly is the 9th pick in this year's draft for a reason.

I liked Connor as a person, but he had a chance to prove his value to this team and he did. And based on his performance, he was not and should have not been resigned as a starter.

The staff didn't think Connor was worth holding on to. He was a so so MLB and nothing else. They likely see Luke as a good OLB / MLB insurance.
