Which Game Would We Have Won Last Season With Kuechly?

SMF knows more about our D and its needs than Rivera.

Lol

Not saying that people know more, but these statements are a little bit of a cop out IMO. If that's the case then no football fan or analyst can ever critique a draft of any team. Who or what fan will ever say they know more about a team than the coaches who gets paid millions to coach it.... But coaches and GM's a lot of time are wrong and make draft mistakes that the general public thought were mistakes.

It's a team sport and you could ask this same question about any player. Except for Anderson, our LB play last year was not good. This pick tells me they have little faith in TD.

I would have gone DT, but apparently RR has more faith in Fua and Edwards than most realize. RR knows defense.

I was not shocked with the pick, it made since, but I wanted a CB 1st, but then I started to think, we do have Hogan (1st round potential last year, before injury), we have McClain and Fua going on year 2 (we can't give up on them after one year), especially a year of the lock out and the shortened offseason, we also have Edwards coming back and Shirley and Neblett played good down the stretch.

LB was the biggest need based on who was left on the board, with Beason and Davis injured, RR was having nightmares about poor LB play this whole offseason..... With a whole offseason to work on strength and conditioning, McClain and Fua should get better, as with Hogan sitting out most he year, learning the playbook and the scheme and then playing in a couple of games, I believe he will have a good year, it took PP from ARZ about half the year to get to a decent form, so with Hogan hitting camp knowing the PB and the speed of the game, I see him as a starter next year, we still have 6 more draft picks to feel needs.

It's not a cop out when the argument presented is void of any resemblance of critical thinking skills.

Okay, so which player could we have drafted that would have won a game for us last year with our miserable defense?

Fletcher Cox? Yes, let's throw another rookie DT in the mix with the rest of our inexperienced DT's for immediate results... same goes for DB's. You want wins now, go find a vet in FA.

It's going to take more then one guy, especially a rookie, I don't care who it is.

We drafted BPA and our board said Kuechly was BPA. We don't know what we're getting back in either Beason or Davis and the odds are that Davis is done, so we took BPA and addressed a need, can't do much better then that.

Let's say (God forbid) that TD blows his knee out again in week 2, will this pick still sound like a bad idea?

Let's say Beason follows Demeco Ryans and it takes him half the season just to get his feet under him, will this pick still sound like a bad idea?

This... 100%.
