The Problem W/ Going Lb 1St

The only good CB in the 2nd would be Jenkins. Johnson is a S / CB tweener with some question marks and Robinson is a mostly combine hype.

Id be pissed if we passed up Jenkins, Curry, Worthy, and Still for either Robinson or Johnson.

If Jenkins is there we will get him. No way we pass on him.

I'm indifferent because it's an LB taken with a top 10 pick, but the player himself is great. The bad taste i'm assuming is going on around here is the pick we chose the player with, and not the player itself.

Anyways, seeing as how Goodell could barely take a piss inbetween Miami's pick and ours indicates that we REALLY wanted this guy.

So I'm all for it.

You do understand that the best DT and DE were still on the board at 9 right. We picked LB because of need not BPA.

Completely disagree. He was 1 of the highest rated guys on the board of many draftniks...we can never know exactly what the Panthers board looks like, but Hurney & Rivera SAID IT in the interview after the pick.

We gotta give McClain another year imo

Id rather get Vinny Curry to add a quality DE to our line.

If we are taking Curry in the 2nd, then that is 'not' giving McClain another year. I love Curry, but just don't agree that the Panthers would be indicating he gets another year if they spend that high of a pick on the position he was drafted to fill.

Cox was widely considered a better prospect than Kuechly.

I just dont think the FO views DT as a huge need.

Curry is a DE....

McClain is a DT

Yea and I agree. What scares me is if they think that LB was more important than DT then what do they think about CB? I could just see them staying pat there and drafting WR or something like TE....

Anyone that thinks Kuechly is a better prospect than Cox is kidding themselves. Cox was rated higher on almost ever board if not all. Cox was better than Darious (sp?) last year that came in and played well as a rookie.

The FO just doesnt view DT as a huge need imo.

I see no way they dont think CB is a huge need though. My only hope is they dont waste the pick on Robinson or Johnson.

Much rather have a dominant pass rusher in Vinny Curry if Jenkins is not available.

Cox was NOT a better prospect than Dareus. If he was, Cox would have been drafted far above us. That is as much of an unreasonable comparison as Miller to Kuechly.

The reality is that fans and mock drafters were more impressed with Cox - as is often the case with people rising after the combine - than actual teams were.
