5 Questions Which We Should Get Answered By Saturday....

1. We MUST stop the run. Will this heal itself with Beason, Davis, Edwards, Fua and McClain returning from injury, or do we have to take a chance on Poe clogging up the middle?

2. If we are comfortable at runstopping, what other DL best fits our scheme? Cox at the 3 technique who can play 5 and 7. Couples at the 7 who could play 3 or 5. Ingram at the 7 and 9 who could play the 3 or OLB? The DE must be able to step back in coverage when the back seven blitzes. Which of these players do this effectively?

3. How much smoke was Hurney blowing when he signed Tolbert to play Fullback? Will the Broncos, Giants, Pats, Jets, etc. make an offer for JStew that we can't refuse?

4. If we continue to run the fast break offense, do we have enough speed at WR to take away double teams from Smitty? Is Gettis the man or do we have to add another high pick weapon?

5. This is the year of the ST. Is it time to move on from AE and get a new KR?

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
