Just a reminder that many posters, including the one above this post, listed Newton with Russell and Akili last year.

I'm not saying there weren't, because this place was imploding upon itself this time last year, and people on both sides made some ridiculous statements.

I was on the anti-Newton bandwagon, but I was also very against the Russell comparisons. It was obvious Cam had a good head on his shoulders. I just didn't think his game would translate to the NFL.
