Report: Panthers To Take Blackmon If He Falls To 9....

Not a sleeper....best WR in his class. Not sure everyone had the Pitt WR inked in as a NFL great though

There were knocks on Megatron coming out....great physical specimen but couldn't make a play against the likes of Clemson?

Hindsight makes some comparison not really fair....

Again...Fitz was regarded as Special...and Plays against Clemson? although they tank every season they are responsible for putting a ton of NFL talent as is UNC.

Megatron made plays with a 5-9 qb who ran and was just flinging the ball up to him. Top 3 picks at WR usually mean special..sadly with hindsight its all cloudy to some..

I would post a link if I cared more..

I think the people saying no to Blackmon underestimate how deadly of a weapon he could be with Smitty on the other side of the field and Olsen splitting the middle. This is an extremely deep draft at A LOT of positions, not just WR. We can easily get a good player on the defensive front or CB at #40. If Blackmon is there you take him and Cam thanks you for it.....

I kinda base my opinion on this:

I agree Cam needs another weapon at WR..But

How great is the talent gap between Blackmon and a Lafell/Gettis/lower rd pick at WR?

How great is the talent gap between DT Cox, DE/OLB Ingram, DE Coples MLB Luke Kechley to our young DTs, Greg Hardy and a probally injured Thomas Davis?

Even reaching for a Gilmore*...what is the talent gap between him and Munnerlyn/Butler and the 4th-7th round Cbs? * assuming no trade down and avoiding Jenkins.

im -Opinion: the gaps between Blackmon and our current WRs is less than our defensive needs and who we can replace the player with.

Joe Adams is a catch and take it to the house guy 4th round? his Wr counterpart?

Who are the 4th round Dts, DEs, Lbers, CBs that can help the defense this season...WRs still usually take a year or two to develop and learn a new offense. Smittyeven took 3 yrs..and an opportunity. and our next no.2 WR may already be on the roster..our next elite Guard is not(Decastro?)

Fact: Justin Blackmon is 6'1" and T.O. is 6'3".

Opinion: Justin Blackmon is not as talented as T.O.

Understand the difference?

Blackmon's reach, hands, and ability to go get the ball are better than TO. Size doesn't really matter. Blackmon still has good size to play WR. Also your opinion means nothing. But I'd still rather not take Blackmon

You missed the point completely.

I was just showing the difference between an opinion and a fact.

It was not an indictment of Blackmon. I like Blackmon, and he reminds me of T.O.

Blackmon would be great for the offense but our defense is still goin to suck because Marty Hurney blows at drafting past the 1st round. We need an impact defender in the 1st. Rivera and the staff could prove to me they were great coaches if Hurney could move down an let them try to coach up Quinton Coples.
