Will You Still Be Talking Crap Post-Draft?

top dawg

This is has been like holding hands compared to last year. Have we already forgotten the tension of the great war between the Huggers and the Haters? Some people didn't even survive that war KJDaniels, PFFL, Grits, almost TRD.

Lots of casualties.

Ah memories...

KJ hasn't blessed us with his thorough draft prep like last year. He was ready to bet his house that Cam would flop.

And don't forget the ever popular Jerry, the guy who wrote posts like he was writing poetry, with those little short sentence fragments.

Those were the days!

I have opinions about the draft but I don't pretend to be correct and I don't pretend that they are important. The guys who do the drafting, even if they can be criticized in hindsight, take this stuff seriously and do their research and know what to look for. I do it for fun and work distraction and they are the pros. Whoever they chose will be a player on the team I follow and I will be a fan of them all.

I did not have too many positive feelings about taking Cam. I think I stopped posting about it once the selection was made.

He shut me up real quick with his quick contract, the camp reports, and especially quarter 1 of game 1.

Once the pick is chosen we are talking about a Panther and the scales reset IMO. Benefit of doubt given to all.

In any case I don't think we can really F up here. Not that we need help all over but any of the picks discussed will be good ones.

here's to hoping we make a GREAT one!

If it's Coples, then that means the F.O. is convinced motivation won't be an issue. Kid has the physical tools to be a monster so if F.O. is sold then so am I. If it's Blackmon I will probably run around my house dancing a jig while the two dogs chase me and the wife tells me to calm down. Blackmon is a bad ass receiver, and would be a GREAT addition to the team. His ability to take the top off the defense, as well as make tough catches across the middle is something that would create one on ones for either him or Smitty. There's not many corners in the league that will be able to cover either one on one. Would LOVE to have Blackmon slide to us....

I think that Rivera not only knows what he needs but knows who he can motivate and work with. If he picks Coples I have faith he knows he can motivate him and get the best from him. The same with Cox, Kuechly, Blackmon, Kalil or whoever we pick. Honestly I think way too much goes into the first round as if that is all we will pick when the other rounds are where you ultimately win or lose the draft. For us the second and fourth rounds will be every bit as important as the first.
