Chandler Jones Rated Best Defensive Player

Both Mike Mayock and Michael Lombardi have went on record to say that this kid is the best defensive player in the draft, and will reach this acknowledgement by his third year. This also is clear implication that he is the best defensive end.

On Mike Mayock's board, he is the #9 prospect.

This guy has been a late riser, but he also had some pretty good tape, from what I understand...

Is this guy our future #9 pick? Is he going to go top 10 as a surprise pick?

I'm trying to reconcile how Mayock has "gone on record" saying Jones is the best defensive player in the draft yet has 4 other defensive prospects rated higher than him?

I was confused as well, but I think he meant that the other players are more ready at this moment in time, while he believes Chandler will be better in the coming years.... But that's me speculating

      I watch it as much as a I can.  I think this year, you will see some risers at the QB and WR positions.  I like it because it gives us more info on the prospects and then a week or two later, free agency--after free agency, we have a lot better idea of needs and mocking gets real.  Mocking in April is something you have to prepare for.  You have no excuses.  It is mock, or be mocked.
