Steve Smith Vs. Julilus Peppers

as much as I love Smitty...he has two fights on record. Both were sucker punches....I mean Lucas was down on one knee and Smitty flew in and took a shot.....so basically those hold no water. Pep is too big and too athletic for Smitty. Pep wins 9 out of 10.

But Peppers takes plays off and has no heart! You can’t win a fight with athletic ability alone!

I think there was a report about Pep in college where some guy made Pep mad and Pep beat the guy to a blood pulp. And don't forget about the fights with Kenyatta Walker. When the panthers brought Walker here in 2007 I think that really angered Pep and that's part of the reason why he wants to leave.

While size is one of the most important factors in professional fighting, it means significantly less in an amateur fight. Much more important between amateurs is who knows how to fight, how well they know how to fight, and who has been in the most fights.

In the professional ranks, everyone is a trained fighter and has experience and speed, strength, etc become bigger factors. A little guy that knows how to fight can easily take out someone much bigger who's never been in a fight before.

Yeah, but I've read Peppers is a huge boxing fan. I wouldn't be surprised if he has trained in the sport a little as part of his conditioning.

I have no idea but Mike Tyson wasn't much bigger than Smitty and knocked fools out a lot bigger than him. If Pep gets his hand on smitty then I go Pep but he'd have to catch him 1st... Stick n Move

Tyson was a shade under 6 foot and generally used to weigh in the 220 lbs mark. He also had a pretty impressive reach for his height. But the main thing about him was that he was boxing and his ferocity and quick hands allowed him to get inside bigger boxers reach and destroy them.

In a fist fight that would be suicidle as he would easily get overwhelmed and forced to the ground, where he would be beat on mercilessly.
