My 2 Cents On Coples

Great against the pass. He moves double teams backwards and puts constant pressure on QB. He reminds a lot of little bit leaner Fletcher Cox.

Terrible against the run. He puts so much effort on getting after QB that he creates massive holes for RB to run through. Terrible sideline to sideline speed. He will not chase anyone from behind.

He fits Carolina scheme perfectly. He will create massive holes for our LBs to blitz through. He will be a difference maker on passing downs.

I don't think Coples is top 10 pick. He's very raw. He make's many mental errors but he's very talented. He's 15-25 pick but not top 10. I trust Hurney tho.

Screw Hurney...I trust RIVERIA.....If he thinks Coples is worth the pick then dammit he worth the pick...Its no way he would let Hurney just pick what Defensive player he wanted to pick without his input....Riveria hasn't had 2 teams with #1 defenses for nothing

Do people not see what I see when watching tape on Coples? It's not the flashy highlights, it's how well a player handles the guy across from him, double teams and his presence forcing teams to run to the other side of the field. If Rivera believes in Coples enough to draft him then I already feel sorry for opposing offenses. Rivera knows his stuff better than anyone on this board and if I had to bet, Coples or Cox will be the pick.

My 2 Cents:

If it weren't for his sub-par senior season, which raised questions about his work ethic and desire, Coples would be a slam dunk. So the question is, was his performance the result of inherent personality traits or the circumstances at UNC? I believe that's what the front office is trying to figure out by visiting his home, and if they are convinced it has more to do with circumstance, they'll draft him.

I think investigating Cam taught the FO a lot about how to look for character in men and ignore the media speculation, so if they are comfortable, so am I.
