I think we go Blackmon or Floyd at 9 at this point. Cosell referenced making one side of the ball unbelievable and then starting work on the other side, ala what Polian did with the Colts & Peyton.

I agree. I think they have already done the "Meet the Kuechlys" and are just preparing for Plan B by meeting with Coples' famiy if their guy isn't available.

I really don't get why they want Coples or Kuechly. We have a LOT of money invested in both positions right now and have a slew of great players at DE and LB. Granted we don't know if TD will last a game but that is no reason to use a high 1st on a LB when there is a larger need at DT. I would rather a WR before Kuechly or Coples. Cox (If he's still there, I think he will be) really is the pick that makes the most sense for the Panthers at #9. Though a trade down + pick up a 1st next season/pick up a 2nd this season also makes a lot of sense depending on who falls and who has interest in those players.

This could have happened at the combine. Did you hear about which teams went to dinner with or met the families of prospects before we heard about Coples? I didn't and I'm sure teams want it that way.

Yeah, I would hate it if we improved our offense so much that we won only one Super Bowl...
