Yea of course he and the rest of us want a SB, but Cam is a a young kid who plays video games and Madden seems to be one of his favorites. The Madden cover is a big deal to a lot of these guys. Its akin to the Wheaties box from past generations. Saying that you "could care less what Cam wants"(which is the WRONG usage of that phrase by the way, it's I COULDN'T care less, not could) shows what kind of fan you are. You aren't willing to support one of our KEY players in his endeavors outside of football. That's a s****y way to go about it.

No I cannot support him when statistics show that it can turn out extremely bad for him. I believe in curses plain and simple.

You know the funny thing is their was a bunch of people on here talking about the "crying if Cam got the cover" from fans who believe in curses. Hell if i knew fans were gunna cry this much about about a fav player of theirs not getting on a video game cover I would rather him on the cover, fug up his season/career and hear you cry about that instead. Babies pure babies

Im sure Lions fans voted for Cam too, therefore the votes would cancel out which means this an irrelevant argument, it was a national vote and fans from the other teams made the difference not ours. The nation voted for CJ plain and simple.

I think you are missing the point here, many on this board have outright said that they were intentionally voting for Megatron purely because of a belief in this so called curse. Logic speaking, this win for Cam would have meant money for him, for the organization, and for my city....so that being said your comment is irrelevant unless you have some facts to back it up...just sayin

It's completely irrational to not think there are Lions fans that didn't vote for Megatron because they believed in the curse too. So we're the only fanbase in the league that has fans that believe in it? Give me a break.

Don't really know what you mean but okay here is a response for you.....CAM wins Madden=more badwagon fans or more curious fans=more dollars spent in my City on Hotels and in restaurants, and for those that care" titty bars"....trickle down economics

It's completely irrational to not think there are Lions fans that didn't vote for Megatron because they believed in the curse too. So we're the only fanbase in the league that has fans that believe in it? Give me a break.

I think it's completely irrational to debate a point that you have no facts to substantiate other than your own internal conjecture, so where do we go from here?

Good God you guys need to clear the sand out. It's a video game cover. Not only that, but he's only been in the league for one year. Cam's not going anywhere, he will get plenty of opportunities to win this thing in the future. I personally voted for him once he got to the finals, but I'm not going to blame anyone for deciding not to cast a vote for fear of the curse. The thing people seem to be forgetting is Megatron is a really popular player as well. Hell people on this board (myself included) drool over his ability. This could just be a case of "Megatron has paid his dues...let's see if Cam can prove his first year wasn't luck".
