He suffered a career threatening hip injury (against the Saints of all teams) that he was slow to recover from. Add to the fact he played for a team last season who's quarterback is among the worst in the league. I think he will have a good season in 2012 barring injury.

Actually Panthro many of those DB's are from my hometown. I don't know what it is about Rock Hill but for some reason we produce a ton of NFL talent for a town our size.

And i would draft Alshon in the 1st round no doubt but WR isn't a major need for the Panthers at this moment.

Yeah, Rock Hill has done a good job of spitting out NFL players given its size. First and only autograph I got was Jeff Burris.

Every once in a while I read something that makes me sit back, smile, and thank the lord that fans don't have any real impact on the draft process. My guess is he's a third rounder at best.

As much as I'd like to see a division rival follow your logic and take him in the first I think only the Buccaneers have managed to keep their first rounder this year anyway.

Jeffery is awful. He's overweight, slow, and unmotivated. He managed to dominate smaller defenders with his superior size and freakishly long arms. He does have great hands. I don't trust that his weight loss before the combine and pro-day was a true indication of his motivation to improve and is rather just a temporary solution to attempt to get more initial money.
