I'd take Barron or Kuechly either one by a long shot over DeCastro. Nothing against DeCastro, he's a great prospect. He just plays a position that has no business being drafted in the top 10.

I could see this if we hadn't added Nakamura and Smith in free agency. Just too many safeties on the roster right now. Unless we take Barron and move Martin to CB (his original position, IIRC)?

Naw, it's not popular, but we do need better pass rush. Although I'd like a dominating DT, I just don't think that we'll draft one with the 9th pick. We just drafted two last year and signed a vet DT. But unlike Fox, RR directs his attention to whats not working and gives less chances to contribute. Brown, Goodson, Baker

If Hurney and Rivera think he can be a legit starting safety I wouldn't mind it. In today's game the safety is a critical position. Godfrey could play FS, Barron SS, Gamble CB#1, Hogan/Free Agent/Draft pick #2

With all that said, have we even talked to this guy?

I feel like it'd make more sense for Barron to play FS, I guess. Godfrey is better in run support than coverage.
