I'm not on the kuechly bandwagon, but wont be shocked if we draft him. I WILL be fuggin livid if we do draft him and move Beason to OLB. Beason is a top 5 ILB maybe top 2 ( willis & Beason) .

LB's can be found all throughout the draft, and can be found much easier and cheaper through FA.

You do not have to use a top 10 pick to get a LB.

This is just not true anymore and I wish people would realize this. With the new pay scale, the 9th pick will get around 12 million total, on 4 years.

Throw out most of the old ideas about reaches/positions at what spot in the draft etc.

GM's and teams can now take risks more easily and due to this, the draft is probably going to be insane this year with trades, etc.

Didn't know people actually took Sports Science seriously. Most of their numbers are unrealistic anyway or show how #s can be flawed.

if he had the athleticism to cover the NFL's new breed of tight ends it'll elevate his worth in the eyes of a coaching staff playing in a division dominated by elite tight end play

At 6'3" and 248lbs he is a beast who is very quick and can cover any tight end in the league as well as most running backs. As quick and explosive as he is, he can surely blitz and reach the quarterback. I know people want the old Beason back 100% patrolling the middle. But this guy could easily be the best SAM backer in the league as well as play the middle if Beason struggles.

Imagine how big and strong he will be when he develops into his NFl body. He is a true junior in college and is still growing and developing, He would be Dan Morgan the upgrade.

False. Jimmy Graham will burn and has burned any LBer in the league. Lets hear more about how he will keep Graham in front of him and tackle 12 yards down the field though. See other Koochy thread for more details.
