Rivera And Hurney Meetings With Coples Again

I wonder what this guy has a chip on his shoulder about. He's moped his way to a likely top 10 pick.....and he's upset that people noticed that he was unmotivated when he admitted to it?

I think it had something to do with people saying the same thing you just did.........

Just a thought...

Coples could be a home run pick but he could also be a huge bust. A high risk high reward player isn't what I want at the #9 pick. I would rather trade back to around 15ish. There will be plenty of great players available still at 15 and I would feel better about Coples at 15. I feel like this meeting is more to try and make teams believe we are high on Coples to entice a trade than us being that high on Coples.

We took the biggest bust-risk player in the draft at #1 last year, and it worked out pretty well. So I am more than comfortable with them drafting Coples at #9 if they feel like his head will be on straight when he plays for us. Not to mention, his versatility can do wonders for a defensive scheme, sliding inside and outside when needed. I think sometimes players take coaching changes to heart and people forget they're human. Look at Jenkins and Peppers, two huge talents that wanted out of here because of the coaching staff. Now, everyone shows up to voluntary workouts to build a championship team. Plus you don't have to worry about holdouts or anything anymore. If they are truly convinced that his lack of effort was isolated given the situation, I'm all for this guy at #9.

Plus I can bring my #90 jerseys back to life with a few new embroidered letters, which is kind of a bonus.

Not me. At least Kuechly is top 3 LB's in the draft i truly just don't see Coples as that.

I don't want Kuechly because he and Beason play the same position, and I'd rather Beason man the middle than move him to the outside. Beason's an impact MLB, but just a solid OLB, and solid OLBs are a dime a dozen. You can pick a guy up off the street or in the middle rounds and plug him in at OLB and be fine.

Agreed, He's not a fav pick of mine either because of that reason. Would rather have upshaw if we were gunna go LB personally feel like he is more versatile, as far as moving to dif positions.

Cosell also has a top five of:

1-RG3

2-Luck

3-Gilmore

4-Richardson

5-Jenkins

Sigh.

Seriously, did you even read his preface? He said that it wasn't a true mock draft. It was how he rated players. Meaning, that was basically his Top 32 players, in order from first to last, not a real mock draft.
