He's a phenomenal CB, but my God... how much can he ask for this time? The constant contract issues are just too much and his idiot coach constantly calling him the best defensive player in football only serves to give him even more leverage.

Of course, this guy is Sean Gilbert's relative and he's listed Gilbert as a major influence in his life, so I can't see how this can be surprising.

If I was a teammate of his, I'd be to the point of getting pissed off. Every team has to work with the same salary cap. When you have a guy constantly posturing to get more money, he's effectively taking money off the table for you.

I was thinking the same thing. Revis would have never worked in Charlotte...would never work in Pittsburgh, or Foxborough. So it's a good thing.

After the new CBA teams are able to punish players heavily for holding out. I can't remember the dollar amount but for every day missed it's a big chunk of money. Before it was not so bad and it favored the players.
