incidentally if you took mayock's input over mine last year we wouldn't have drafted cam newton and QB would still be a dumpster fire

P55 was a strong supporter of Newton early on so he must think his ranking arent always spot on

p55 last time we took such opposite stances on a subject was the delhomme extension and we all know how that turned out

i was right, as always, and you were wrong

kitchen sinking much. Won't rehash ancient history but suffice it to say that you were wrong about that too. Yasinskas pointed out it was a cap move and he didn't get half that money. But it illustrates my point, even when those in the know write about what is correct, folks like you still believe you were right and they are all wrong. Amazing......................

Mayock isn't always right as I said earlier, but that hardly negates everything. But like Newton, we will figure that out down the road. He was also right about lots of folks last year as well. Who is to say which side of the equation Kuechly fits. I think I am right again but we will see.

I don't know how he has Chandler jones at 9 but coples is number one on his top 5 defensive ends and is his 50th ranked player.

I agree with his top players but the guy speaks out of both sides of his mouth with Couples much like he did with Cam.I think he struggles with the Boom/Bust factor which is understandable being he does not have the opportunity for private conversations and workouts.I will cut him some slack for that.

I was right with you on Newton but diverge greatly when it comes to Kuechly. Not that I wont be on Team Kuechly when he is drafted....I just want other players

Understandable. Can't say I will be unhappy with a pass rusher either. It is a shame we don't have 3 or 4 first rounders. We have too many holes at this point and we can almost be assured that Hurney won't be spending big in free agency so the draft becomes the only place we can get highly ranked players. Otherwise we are back to the scrap heap looking for castaways and hidden gems.

The other thing that I know grates some folks is that picking Kuechly is betting on or at least acknowledging that Davis or Beason wont be back at 100% and that flies against the hope that many have that both will be fine. Kind of like life insurance. You might need it but no on really wants it given you only collect on it when someone dies.

    • I complete disagree. Who is available is extremely relevant. If you have a couple of players you would be happy with and you can still get them if you trade back, you should do that in a heartbeat. Being afraid that people will lowball you next year is an odd stance. Then you just say no next year, problem solved. In this particular draft you can get a very good player at 46. But to each their own.
    • I don't think so.  Watson really screwed them up.  I see something happening, but do not know what.  Cousins could be had in a trade--but they liked Flacco when he played there.  If it were me, I would not spend the #2 pick on Sanders.  I would go after a tier 2 qb because I think Will Howard is going to start in the NFL soon, and I think Ewers was rated very high at the beginning of the year--he knows adversity and he beat out a Manning while taking Texas to 2 playoff appearances.  I am not good at picking QBs, but I think Howard's run pass option and his accuracy is going to help someone.  Stay in Ohio and play for the Browns behind Flacco--
    • After Cam at #1, there are three or four elite players and there could be a trade--If I am the Giants and I am needed a winning season badly and I have several needs, I might trade out and pick up mid first and an extra second rounder, including a QB--while nobody is going to move up to #3 for Sanders, they might for Carter or Hunter.  If the Giants then move back, Sanders could still be in play.  That could be the trade in the top 3.  New England wants Campbell and I get that; Jacksonville at #5 could move back if someone wants Graham or Jeanty.  But barring some trade, the top 4 are probably locked in. So it could be 2 hours into the draft before we get any surprises. Nice list, by the way--you nailed it.
