Yasinkas Has Us Taking Kuechly

I still don't understand that if we are so worried about Davis' injury issues, why we don't take one of the top OLB prospects in rounds 2-4.

Yes I'm sure Kuechly can play OLB perfectly fine, but why waste a top ten pick for an OLB? If he played OLB at BC Kuechly would be projected to be a second rounder, simply because the MLB position has a much higher price tag.

Between the LB corps, secondary and Dline I have no idea how so many think the LBs is the area that needs the most work. Linebackers are kind of like running backs on defense too, finding guys who are capable, but not spectacular, just aren't that hard to find.

Fine with a LB in the 2nd. But I don't get your argument since OLB last year went top 5. Talent is talent.

I am fine with Luke....but I am fine with lots of players. Just think DT at 9 is silly with the depth in the draft. If DT is that big of a need then it makes more sense to grab him in the 2nd and get a defensive starter at 9

Von Miller was a OLB/DE hybrid. Not even comparable.

if keuchly played linebacker in miami his statline wouldn't look nearly as prolific and he would project somewhere between day 2 and day 3

How do you figure that? You put Luke on a football field.... and he is going to make plays.

Beason had 1 INT and 1 sack in his Miami career. You don't think Luke could of done that?!?!? Luke has the combine numbers. So where is your logic in how your claim plays out

I agree with Luke being a good pick if Cox isn't there. But you keep coming back with stupid Comments. Cox is head and shoulders over any DT in the draft. And at 9 to get a playmaker like that on your line is great value.

Miller was drafted as a 43 OLB. Someone just claimed being a 43 OLB was basically an automatic bump to the 2nd round bc of the value of the position.

Not comparing him to Luke.....pointing out the logic some are now using with LBers. It is nuts.

Ehhhh I wouldn't use Miller as an argument. Those pass rushing specialist OLB/DEs (yes I'm sure he can rush the passer, but he's definitely no specialist at it) all get projected to go super high. Gholston, Aaron Curry, Von Miller, etc. Heck Melvin Ingram could very well go in the top ten.

I'm not against Luke at all, I just don't see him as a good value.

Cox isnt head and shoulders better. If he was....the DT evaluations wouldn't be all over the map the last few months. Not a big gap between 1 and 5. If Cox was clearly the best.... wouldn't of been given the #1 DT seat only a couple weeks ago.

Well since beason has 8 career interceptions in like 4 seasons and more sacks in 2009 at the pro level than keuchly had in his entire college career in the acc, lol is my rebuttal

Yeah like last year when we brought in all these guys who filled in for Beason and Davis so well we didn't miss them at all.

Oh wait..............................

Why bring in an instant starter when we can bring in someone in later rounds who can sit the bench with all the other special teamers and backups since we won't need any starters. After all Davis will come back just fine it is only his third ACL surgery, And even though no linebacker has come back 100% their first year from achilles surgery. Our guys will be the first in the NFL to recover so quickly. We always have good luck with injuries..........

Oh wait...................................

Moving Beason to OLB didn't work so well last time. He's at his best at MLB. This is too conflicting. Brockers or Coples at #9 since Cox is gone.

Wasn't a talent ability issue.....more like a fish out of water. Beason just didn't have reps in the system to get comfortable.

Plus, the schemes are different then vs what they plan to run this year (and they didn't run it last year)

That's your stupid opinion. But he is now being talked about going top 6 while every other DT has dropped. I've already crushed you once in this debate because you still haven't come up with anything that said he wouldn't be the best DT last year.
