I prefer not to have 5 out of our 7 first round picks being linebackers and running backs. Think about it. Also if a top 15 pick isn't a QB, OT, WR, DE, DT, CB and prefer him to be really special. I'm in the boat that LB, RB doesnt generally break you, but QB, WR, CB, DT play will everytime.

And about the Eagles 4-3, they never have great LBers, They are also one of the better drafting teams in the league, and they weight the six positions I talked about earlier heavier than others. McCoy being the only one I can think of and I doubt they would have picked him top 15. Andrews is another one but he was thought to be a special talent and was until he ate all day and got depressed.

Exactly. He is a big run stuffing NT. just like Kemo did here, he did his job very well.

I have hopes for McClain and Fua as young DT's and think we are ok at DT. But the more I see and hear of Cix, the more I like him. Putting h along side our existing DT's (ESP on passing downs) would be very nice.

having one "solid" DT isn't going to cut it

I'll at least give you credit that you don't think he's an awesome 3-4 NT like that drooling idiot madhatter does

fug you.... You brain damaged little fug.

I said that he is considered a very good NT. That is all.

Also said that Cox would be a great fit because he is a completely different type of DT than Edwards.

Edwards is a Big Fat Guy and does his job (taking in double teams and clogging the middle well). That is an under appreciated skill and position. Just like Hollis Thomas did for us a few years ago....but Edwards is better at it than Thomas.

People look at sacks too often. The type of player Edwards is will not have great stats, but is valuable in defense.

Sure it will. In this scheme having a solid front 7 is more important than building a Tampa 2 DL.

But I want it get better in 2012. Odds are a DT at could be on par with our DTs from the last draft. There are plenty of good Ds that don't have a Ngata. To get better quick a DE, LB or DB makes more sense at 9.

I'd rather just grab a FA DT when cuts occur. Cam needs a D NOW

There are much more inventive and nondirect ways to insult people than just calling them an idiot.

I know, but it's funny sometimes to make unprovoked personal attacks on madhatter and pantherclaw because that's all they've done since they registered, so it's funny to see them blow their top
