You Jealous, Bruh?

For the short term I would take Smith, but if we were talking for the next decade obviously Jones has the edge. Still Jones hasn't really done anything yet so you are comparing an old WR who is probowler to a young guy who is only going into his second year. Lets see what Jones does this year and then we can see.

I can agree, thats the exact same thing I say when people ask would I trade Matt for Cam!

I can see where your coming from but would you rather be 6-10, 3rd in the division, with nothing to look forward to but next year or 10-6, runner up in the division and have a spot in the playoffs?

Doesn't matter either way. There's only one winner! If your not first you're last. 5 years from now most people wont remeber who was in the playoffs, but they will remember who was in the Superbowl.

I think the difference would be that Jones didn't set the world on fire or even rank in the top 50 of all receivers in receptions and was 24th in total yards. Steve was significantly better this year. On the other hand you could argue Newton was every bit as good as Ryan. Newton was top five when you consider total yards gained since he is more than just a passer. If you look at the whole deal Newton had more of an impact on our team than Ryan did with his. Our offense was every bit as dynamic as the Falcons. Our defense was what killed us,

I can agree their also but he was #2 amongst rookies WR in yards and led in TDs while missing three or four games!!

Dude the Falcons were the laughing stock of the NFL for like 30+ years? Your on here talking poo because our team was average for 2 years, and horrible for 1 while we didn't have a quarterback?

I guess you might as well talk poo now... you won't be able to for the next decade while Cam steamrolls this division for us.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.

    • Ah, the ol Cam Newton hating.  I will give you credit, the week of pretending to be a Daniel Jones super fan is a very clever way to disguise your hatred of Cam.
