Better Panther Draft Than This?

These things are just to fun. I just want to know... Can our draft get any better than this?

Biggest team needs: DT / CB / OLB / P

1st Round:DT Fletcher Cox 6'4 300

Shore up our interior pass rush here. Cox is a proven 3 year stater in the SEC. Solid interior pass rush rotation with him and McClain.

2nd Round:CB Janoris Jenkins 5'10 193

Fug the character concerns, we got to deal with Brees, Rodgers, and Brady. You wont find a better CB with better coverage skills than Jenkins.

4th Round: OLB Nigel Bradham 6'2 241

This might be a stretch as he could easily go in the 3rd. But there is a chance he could fall to the 4th.

5th Round: P Bryan Anger Cal

Wont have to worry about punting for the next 10 years... Dude is a beast.

6th Round: DT Akiem Hicks 6'5 318

No secret here. Like this guy.

6th Round: WR Dale Moss 6'3 215

Sleeper Sleeper Sleeper. Converted basketball player. Had he played football for longer and went to a D1 school he would be a 1st round pick imo

7th Round: CB Chris Greenwood 6'1 196

Awesome measurables. With some good coaching I could see him being a number 1 corner.

Greenwood can be go before the 7th round I Thınk. Another WR sleeper ıs Lance Lewıs from ECU, may be undrafted.

Possibility. Take him in the 5th then and get one of the good punters in UDFA.

Not that our FO is eyeing Greenwood... :/

Lewis aint but 6ft. Those WR's come a dime a dozen

If you change that late round CB to a Olineman, (Leary or one of the others) then it would be absolutely perfect.

Screw that. You can get late quality OL every year in the draft not to mention in FA and UDFA. We just added like 2 OL recently.

Its hard as hell to find CB's over 6ft with that kind combination of speed, size, and fluidity with ball skills. Good CB's are much harder to come by.

Only reason Greenwood is a relative unknown is because he went to a D3 school.

That would be theeee dumbest move Hurney ever made...and that says something.

So we trade our 2nd string rb (rb's which are a dime a dozen and can be picked up late in the draft) and a OT that cant stay healthy to save his life for a starting caliber OLB THIS year if Davis doesnt come back at 100%

Trade two first round draft choices, one that is our best RB who SPLITS carries and probably top 5 at his position, our starting RT(even tho he's been hurt) AND a future third round draft pick for a guy who may or may not start!?!? That's just fuggin brilliant!!!!

Didnt Williams just get that big contract? Obv our FO thinks he is our best RB.

Starting RT? Has he even played a full season since he been here? As far as im concerned he is a medical BUST.

Davis is nearing the end of his career, esp with his latest of numerous injuries.

Bradham will start and be good, just a matter of when.

Obv I was exaggerating a bit with both Stew and Otah. (we dont lose anything with next years pick as we dont have one this yr. just a swap)

But I wouldnt be mad with trading those players for a starting caliber guy in a position of need

Really like Bradham. Good size, speed, and production. With a mean streak to boot!

We could accomplish what you want by trading back about 8 spots but you want to give up 2 first round picks.

I want to fix our defense. Plain and simple.

We need a solid pass rushing DT - Cox

We need a solid CB - Jenkins

We need a solid OLB - Bradham

Id trade back in a heart beat as im also really high on Worthy and Still and pick up a 2nd or 3rd.

Which I think is the best option.

We have Williams and Tolbert so Stew is more than expendable.

Otah is a complete medical bust. Fug his injury prone a$$

    • Here comes Frankw and his pathetic little persecution complex to claim I have a personal vendetta against one of the worst performing coaches in the league if anything I should love Canales because he’s walking proof that through the lord all things AREN'T possible.  This kind of performance is exactly what you’d expect from someone who filled the building with misunderstood Bible quotes about iron forging iron and inspired speeches about how he apologized for his infidelity by buying his wife a book deal.  once more into the breech dear friends, just like when I paid a stripper for an above the pants hand job in Orlando.
    • As dumb as it probably sounds, we should have won that game.  Defense was bad but Bryce should have been better.  Pass rush isn't a good enough excuse.
    • You and I both know there isn't a coach we could or can still hire that can "fix" Bryce Young. Even at mighty Alabama with one of the best modern coaches in college football history Mac Jones was still a better QB than Bryce Young. Mac Jones.... We already know how you feel about Canales on a personal level so in that regard you wanting him fired is not news. You don't have to disguise it behind this shroud of rabble about not fixing Bryce Young. To his credit he somehow had us competive against the Chiefs and the Eagles on the road with #9. But no coaching staff can overcome their starting QB turning the ball over 4 times. We definitely have developed some of our younger offensive pieces. And as far as Evero goes he has earned criticism and if he's fired so be it but in his defense many of us said in the offseason this defensive roster was a disaster waiting to happen given the resources we spent on the offense while neglecting the defense. That was Dan Morgan's plan. He swung too hard toward offense to salvage the Bryce Young trade. That's on him. We can scream about XL all we want but at least he's actually been on the field for the most part. The Brooks pick was a luxury pick at the time and now it is a Hurney level blunder. Dan Morgan has gotten a lot of early praise here when in reality he's unequivocally deserving of significant criticism. But if you say that some people get up in arms because he's a former Panther. Big whoop. He has just as much to prove this upcoming season as Canales. That's why to me in my own personal opinion I say one more season and then if it's more of the same say goodbye to both.
