I had two hunters hunt me one time when I was hiking in Georgia. I liked to hike at night, there is nothing like it, not being able to see very well and relying on other senses to get through the woods. Well there were these guys hunting deer out of season and I startled a deer that they were watching. They did not like that and fired a few shots in my direction, one shot hit the tree that I was hiding behind. They tried to follow me, actually did a good job of it for some time but I was finally able to outdistance them when I swam across a lake. Hearing bullets whiz past you is pretty scary and I feel for soldiers who have to deal with it every day.
