I think you can trade in D3... even easier with auction house. I think pvp will be put in, don't fret, this game will be fun. We'll get our $60 worth, it's not like a monthly fee.

you can use gold and real money to buy items on the auction house. there's no player to player trading.

you can only fit 4 players in a game so trading games wouldn't be as epic anyways.

I never did PvP, so I won't miss that. I really like that you get your own treasure, so I don't have to worry about my greedy ass friends picking everything up. Not a fan of the shared treasury between all characters in your stable, though. That doesn't make any sense. Seems weird to start a new character, and have 200K and a pile of weapons and armor to choose from.

i got my copy installed already....itching to go. Looks like it will have to be tomorrow afternoon before I get to play, since the servers don't go live until what equates to 3:01 am edt .......booooo <_<

Which is why I'm really pissed that you have to be connected to play. How long until they completely turn it into WoW and charge a monthly fee? They're halfway there...
