Eagles Are Willing To Trade Samuel For A 5Th Or A 6Th

Yes but 10 mıllıons per year for 2 years ıs expensıve for Samuel, I prefer take a young CB wıth our 5th round lıke Josh Norman for example.

I agree he isn't a realistic option for us....just disagree with people downplaying his ability or fit here.

Signing players over 30 never works, just ask the Patriots. They've never won anything.

Darren Sharper was only behind Drew Brees in terms of importance for the Saints Superbowl run. Sharper was in his mid 30s I believe when they signed him

Human males reach their physiological prime around 30. It shows a very shallow understanding of football to disregard a player because they're 31. You have to examine their career and know them as a player before you can just say "too old" without looking like an idiot.

Oh I'm sorry, were we talking about steve smith? No we weren't. It's Samuel. I stand by my statement. Regardless of your attempt to twist things.

You said, Asante was too old. I simply asked if our older WR we just extended was also too old in your eyes...

I assume that is a no...to my question.

30 isn't old for a good corner. Asante is probably the best cover corner in the game....with years left. What was your point? I can accept you not wanting him....as he isn't a realistic option for us.

However, he is very good, ideal for our scheme, and is still playing in his prime......not too old.

30 year old corner in a rebuilding team. Steve is already on the team. I'm not dismissing his skill set. He's old and that would go against what the FO has said. Building through the draft. Rather have hogan or a rookie come in. He wants too much money as well, even if it's 7 million. Too expensive, too old. How long would he even play for? 3-4 years?

Also, I was under the impression that McD and him do not get a long. Just doesn't seem like it would work. Also, I'm sure he'd want to go to a team that isn't that far off from the Super Bowl. But who knows. If it does happen, so be it man. I'll welcome him with arms wide open and hope he doesn't screw us over somehow.

If I recall correctly, last year the CBs who allowed the least amount of passes completed were

1.Revis

2. Asante

3. Gamble

I would love to have Asante and Chris together if only for 3-4 years. But Asante is just too expensive.

I'm going to have to ask for evidence with those stats. If I were a QB playing the Eagles' defense, I would be throwing at Asante's side all day.

They want to unload him because of his cap number, not his talent. I personally love Asante and his ability to play corner. However, 20 million over the next two years is insane. The Eagles were insane in their planning of that... The panther's have already overpayed a multitude of players. We cannot afford him. He wants to restructure, not take a paycut.... Sorry, but as much as I think Asante is skilled, he is too expensive for the Panthers, and most other NFL teams, at this point.

I sure as hell wouldn't.... Nnamdi was abysmal in the beginning of the season. He started coming into form later in the season, and he still was not as good at zone as Asante.... It would not be an easy choice. And Asante>>>Rodgers-Cromartie all day.
