1st Round: DE Quinton Coples 6'6 284

With some of the recent comments from the coach I'm leaning away from DT early. Coples will make the biggest immediate impact on the game as he will at the very least slit time with Hardy and move inside on passing downs. Another thing is he is good against the run. Not to worry about the effort thing. He will be fighting for playing time and that big contract.

2nd Round: OLB Lavonte David 6'1 233

You wont find to many LB's with better instincts than David. With all our question marks at LB he will be just to good to pass up imo. Although, if we go DT Cox in the first I could see us drafting a DE here in either Vinny Curry, Chandler Jones, or Nick Perry if he somehow falls. Also if Janoris Jenkins is here I could see us taking him as the value would be pretty great. Id also love Shea Mclellin if he somehow fell to the 2nd round.

4th Round: WR Marvin Jones 6'2 200

Torn here. Really want Joe Adams but Jones is very good and has some nice upside. Good size, speed, hands, and route running ability. I could also see us going CB here. But I think I found my sleeper CB in the 7th ;)

5th Round: P Bryan Anger Cal

Guess we can go ahead and scoop up the best punter here.

6th Round: DT Akiem Hicks 6'5 318

To much potential to pass up this big guy in the 6th imo.

6th Round: OT / OG Lamar Holmes 6'5 323

Created a lot of running lanes at Southern Miss. Good size, long arms.

7th Round: CB Chris Greenwood 6'1 196

You want a sleeper? Here it is. This guy has got great size, speed, and agility. Posted a 4.3 / 4.4 forty. A 43 inch vertical jump. If this guy had went to a major D1 school he would be a 2-4 round pick imo. A lot of teams have had him in for private workouts and plan to take him in the UDFA, but I say fug that get him in the 7th.

I would be very happy with this draft. We aren't going to be able to fill all the needs on defense in this draft, and CB is the one I think we can get away with not addressing. Only thing I would change is the 4th rounder to Adams. I know you thought about him, but we need a punt returner.

With this draft we arguably come away with the best DE, OLB, and P in the draft. Outside of the first 4 CB's we are not gaining much which I why I keep passing. Although I think Greenwood would be a solid 2 and even a #1 CB with proper coaching and experience. Dude has got great measuables and is fluid to boot. I also feel like Hogan will be more than serviceable.

Pilarus (sp?) was suppose to be our punt returner. Im not sure if you have watched tape on Jones but he is nice! Smitty, Lafel, Gettis, and Jones would make for one hell of a receiving core imo. But yea, Joe Adams is a beast in his own right. Wouldnt be mad if we got him.

I pray the FO knows about Hicks and Greenwood. So much unpolished potential to be had late! Also Moss the WR.

I would say no to a WR in the 4th. If they don't take one in the first couple rounds I don't see it being worth it.

WR class is DEEP! Would be crazy to take a WR in the 2nd over arguably the best OLB or DE's.

There is numerous good WR's to be had late.

Go watch the film on Jones. You be crazy not to want him in the 4th.

This is honestly how I see much of the draft going. I think it could be a bit different in the 2nd and 4th - but I see us taking a punter high and adding at least one CB.

The only knock I can see on this draft is waiting so late to pick up a CB. But honestly I just cant justify drafting a CB in the 2nd or 4th when you can take immediate impact very good players in the likes of L. Davis, V. Curry, N. Perry ect. Sure if Jenkins is there than the value would be worth it.

Very nice draft Dash. Not much to gripe about. And you are right about WR class it is VERY deep. I myself like Tommy Streeter from the U but Marvin Jones is a very nice prospect as well.

Like your sleeper CB as well. Not sure if we will wait to take a CB that late though.

Def aint taking a CB with the 9th pick.

I only way I can justifiably see us taking a CB in the second is if Jenkings is there.

No other CB outside of Claiborne, Gilmore, and Kirkpatrick would be more valuable than a Lovante David, Zack Brown, Vinny Curry, Nick Perry, Chandler Jones, Jerel Worthy, Devon Still, ect.

We dont have a 3rd.

4th round seems like the best value and talent if you want a WR, as after the 4th the talent takes a hit imo.

I would hate for us to pass on any of those players above in the 4th-6th round for an average CB or project CB.

Greenwood has the most upside of any CB late imo. And he will be available in the 6th or 7th.
