Bios/Info on Some of our UDFAs:

OT Gerald Cadogan (Penn St.)

STRENGTHS: Terrific size and bulk with a large frame and long arms...Extremely intelligent with great awareness...Above average athleticism...Light on his feet...Quick and agile with good balance...Moves well laterally...Is able to protect the edge...Adequate strength...Has a strong initial punch...Good range and will get to the second level...Understands angles and positioning...Can recover when beat...Shows the ability to manhandle defenders...Hard worker...Still improving and has upside.

WEAKNESSES: Inconsistent technique, footwork and leverage...Doesn't get a great push in the run game...Is not overly stout at the point of attack...Has trouble pulling and struggles in space...Lacks explosiveness...Has a tendency to get beat inside...Is he totally committed to the game?..Not real physical or aggressive and needs to show more of a killer instinct.

NOTES: Last name is pronounced "Cuh-DOE-gun"...An accomplished musician who has released two gospel albums...Sang the national anthem a cappella at a campaign rally for future President Barry Obama on the Penn State campus...Redshirted in 2004...Backed up future #5 overall pick Levi Brown early in his career and also got some starts at guard...Took over the starting left tackle job in 2007...A two-time 1st Team Academic All-American and was named Academic All-Big Ten three times...Won the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award as a senior...1st Team All-Big Ten in 2008...Underrated prospect who is still a bit raw but has all of the physical tools you look for as well as top intangibles.

LB Brit Miller (Illinois)

OVERVIEW:

Very experienced linebacker with 38 career starts while at Illinois. Exploded his senior season with 132 total tackles including 72 solos. He also led the Big 10 with over 11 tackles per game. Career highs in virtually every defensive category this past year.

STRENGTHS:

Runs all over the field and is seemingly involved on every play. A huge linebacker who engulfs the ballcarrier and rarely ever misses a tackle. Good fundamental tackler who uses his legs to get into position to take down the offensive player. Effective blitzer because of his great size, finishes career with 8 sacks. Very good against the run, able to slow down many of the Big 10's elite rushing attacks. Probably at his best around the line of scrimmage where he is able to penetrate and frequently rack up tackles for loss.

WEAKNESSES:

A true tweener. He is too slow for a linebacker, but at only 250, would be too small in the NFL to line up at the line of scrimmage. Does not have top line athleticism or speed.

PROJECTION:

Brit does not have the flash of other high ranked linebacker prospects and his tweener status certainly will hurt him. But you can't really argue with his production and his overall resume. His experience and knowledge of the game will get him drafted sometime in the 5th to the 6th round.

TE Kevin Brock (Rutgers)

OVERVIEW:

Converted WR who is now primarily a blocking TE. Saw few opportunities to get involved in the passing game while on the field (more scheme-based than ability of player). LATE NOTE: Really lit it up at the Rutgers Pro Day with 4.64/4.67 40-yard heats, a 34" vertical, a 9'11" broad jump, a 4.28 short shuttle and a 6.81 3-cone drill and 23 bench reps.

STRENGTHS:

Nice height. Has experience catching as a former wide receiver. Has bulked up and carried the weight well. Has learned to block well. Has good functional strength. Despite his role, he is athletic and could flourish in a pass-heavy role. Posted an excellent 6.85 agility drill at his pro day workout.

WEAKNESSES:

Not going to make many big plays. Despite being an ex-wideout, has become more of a one-dimensional blocking TE.

Projection : Late second day to UDFA prospect.

QB Hunter Cantwell (Louisville)

OVERVIEW:

Disappointed in his one chance to make everyone forget about Brian Brohm. Still, he offers quite a bit of potential. Developmental backup type - for now.

STRENGTHS:

Size, stature, and arm strength are all there. Despite his rushimg stats, he can move in the pocket, avoid the rush, and throw on the move. Sells the play-fake. Can find alternate receivers. Gutty. Will block and play through pain.

WEAKNESSES:

Accuracy needs to be improved. Footwork needs refinement. Delivery could stand to be re-worked.

PROJECTION:

A second day prospect now, plummeting from his preseason ratings.

WHY did he tank?

And one guy I am a little excited about after reading up on him....

RB Jamall Lee (Canada - Bishops)

http://www.sportsnet.ca/football/nfl/2009/03/13/jamall_lee_nfl_scouts/

22yo, 6-foot-2, about 225 pounds w/a 44-inch vertical jump, a broad jump of more than 10 feet, 19 bench pressing reps of 225 pounds.

Recorded a Combine record time of 4.39 seconds in the 40-yard dash, shaving the previous mark of 4.41 set by Jean-Frederick Tremblay, a wide receiver with Laval, in 2004.

Graham Harrell went to Cleveland, would have been nice to sign him as an UDFA, god knows hes better than Moore, Mcnown, and with time Jake the flake

Harrell is not better than more or Jake, you're an idiot.

And Camp fodder, camp fodder, camp fodder.

Something has got to be up with Cadogan, I mean every team had a shot at him in the 6th and/or 7th and nobody pulled the trigger. Yet lots of players thought to be big time projects and undrafted got drafted. Interesting but I'm glad we got him.

I have looked for anything negative on the kid and havent found much. ALl they say is needs work on foot work. I am starting to feel like the Pats about the draft..Good players just are falling to us unfairly. We get brown, Fiammeta, Robinson, and now this guy well after they were supposed to be drafted.
