optional stability for less than 70$ a pair:

i used boat bumpers instead of lobster buoys because i didn't want to wait.

the adjustable mounted pole brackets are 1" flag holders + 1" galvanized conduit. the outriggers can be boat bumpers, crab buoys, etc. mine aren't great and i'm going to have to redo them eventually, but its better than paying 200+ for a set of them.

that is not my kayak, but its the foundation i used for building my outriggers. you can also remove them anytime you like.

sometimes you have to put a back plate where you mount them to add stability and keep them from tearing through the hull

For all around...ocean/lake/river...would you suggest the Tarpon or the Manta Ray. I'm about comfort and speed. Stability isn't that much of an issue as I doubt I'll stand on it.

I don't really know man. Like I said before, It's been 10 years ago since I was in that line of work. The Tarpon is pretty fast and stable though with its flat bottom, buoyancy, and a pretty good keel front and back.
