Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Like I was saying, this Beta version is more like a Battlefield clone than anything you'd expect from Ghost Recon. There are two maps in this beta and neither feel wide open or free like you'd expect. Ghost Recon usually forces you into bad positions, but this game seems to be more about taking position and camping than hunting down the enemy.

As far as spawn camping, you can spawn on your team mates or spawn at an alternate spawn. Most of my team mates so far have been too dumb to spawn on me when the other team gets near our spawn.

Just got done playing the game and can't seem to understand the Battlefield angle out side of how the teams are split up and the fact that the game is based on Modern Combat the similarities end there. your statement is like calling Call Of Duty a Halo clone because they are both FPS

It's a 3rd Person shooter with a pretty decent cover base system, it does have a learning curve to it so your not going to just pick it up and be awesome at it right away, but once you start to figure some things out the game gets a lot more fun very quickly, it's weapon customizations are seconded by none, and anyone claiming otherwise is lying, straight up you can decided everything on everything you could possibly imagine.

maps are not that big, I might like some bigger ones but it is just a beta so we will see. the game mode isn't bad with the moving objectives it forces players to move instead of camping in one area and forces more teamwork which is nice to see, I am looking forward to this game when they release it.

it does have some bugs but nothing you would not expect to see in a beta, the main problem I have is when the host leaves it basically ruins the game for you right now

i really liked the first couple when they came out. did they manage to fix spawn camping while keeping the tension? as slow as the game was, it was one of the most intense online fps experiences i've had, i'd put it over 128 player quake 3 and ut2004 i've got one of the rainbow 6's on steam and never even downloaded it. not big on urban combat. feels too much like a rat running around a maze oh its vegas 2 and i guess i did download it and run it for 5 minutes

if it's vegas 2 don't bother with it that game was trash

I'm guessing no dedicated servers.... I played a game last night on 360, wasn't bad. Yeah it's not super easy like CoD and people won't like that. Unfortunately that is probably why this game won't be a success is because people want run and gun. Heck, people can't even play BF3 because it's different than CoD and this is WAY different, good luck getting those fanboys to play it. I'm going to put in way more time to make a judgement first.

Only thing I don't like and it's just something to get used to, is the pull sights for the gun, feels awkward and clunky.

there is a way around that, instead of aiming in a direction and then zooming to sights if you are behind cover you can go straight to sights and then you're good, it took me some getting used to as well

Anyways, the game seems like its gonna be awesome. I've been getting my butt kicked, but it's been a lot of fun. Movement and controls are much more fluid and smoother than the multiplayer in the last GRAW.

I think if you played some of the Assassin's creeds you get beta also.

If you're a fan of the old Ghost Recon games, you'll notice the differences. The older games force you to take a slow, methodical approach and almost forces you into bad positions. Even if you were just playing multiplayer firefight with no objectives, you can't just run and gun or head straight for a camping spot.

I understand why Ubi changed the formula; Battlefield and COD have dominated the shooter market. Ghost Recon's original formula wasn't exactly a success in the mainstream.
